High Court of Justice okays return of terrorists’ bodies

The State is allowed to return the bodies of three Palestinians, including two terrorists, to their families for burial, High Court of Justice ruled Monday. Two of the individuals were shot dead while trying to carry out terror attacks and one who was shot while trying to avoid arrest. Israeli families of fallen soldiers whose bodies have not been returned by Hamas since the 2014 Operation Protective Edge have called on the government to hold the bodies of Palestinian terrorists until their sons remains have been returned, but the High Court has ruled that the government does not have the authority to hold the bodies unless the Knesset passes a law legalising the policy.
