Jerusalem, 22 November, 2017 (TPS) -- The Israeli security establishment has completed compiling an all-encompassing security strategy for Judea and Samaria, the defense ministry said Wednesday. For the first time, the Ministry has defined and prioritized the region’s needs in a way that will streamline future security budgets towards appropriate needs throughout Judea and Samaria a

The plan aspires to cover all aspects of life in Judea and Samaria for the next 15 years, including both security aspects of life beyond the green line, such as fences, checkpoints, and security barriers, as well as civilian needs such as infrastructure.

“This is the first time the security establishment has compiled an all-encompassing strategy for Judea and Samaria which looks far into the future,” said Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman. “The plan we put together will lead to a significant upgrade [throughout the regions], both in terms of [security matters], and in terms of adjusting the infrastructure and anticipating the expected growth of all the region’s populations,” he added.
