ISRAEL’S ONLY NEWS AGENCY LAUNCHES COOPERATIVE EFFORTS WITH THOUSANDS OF INTERNATIONAL NEWS OUTLETS
Tazpit News Agency (TPS) has been re-launched to mark the beginning of cooperative efforts with thousands of news outlets across the world.
JERUSALEM, Oct. 6 – Tazpit News Agency hosted a launching event to promote the news agency’s new platform: change of name of the agency, the reformatting of the official website, the agency’s media products and a comprehensive plan of action including new intensive activities in cooperation with thousands of media news outlets and sources across the globe.
Amotz Eyal, Founder and Director of TPS stated that: “this is the most significant turning point in relation to presenting media coverage about Israel to the world.”
“Tazpit”, as of now “TPS”, was established by Eyal five years ago with the intention of supplying comprehensive media information to world media forums. The information includes news flashes, pictures, articles and exclusive investigations pertaining to the following subjects: military and security, politics, education, technology, medicine, archaeology, agriculture, tourism and more.
TPS draws on its staff and a vast network of dedicated volunteers which include photographers, writers, editors, videographers and translators who work daily in order to supply the most up to date information for media outlets. TPS’s professional staff oversees day to day management in order to ensure the highest quality results.
Eyal, 28, founder and director at TPS, further commented at the launching event: “During the last five years we distributed media information and material to 180 outlets in the world. Our talented news team and researchers are responsible for the distribution of more than 20,000 exclusive news items regarding Israeli affairs to the leading media outlets in the world.”
Eyal added that “during the last year, we followed all security skirmishes and on more than one occasion we found that we were the only ones in the area. Particularly during these intense days, it is important for us to strengthen and build on the agency for the public’s sake as well as the various media outlets who benefit from our work.”
“After we accumulated experience and received incredible responses from journalists and editors, the moment arrived at which we truly understood the need for an Israeli news agency. This was to supply comprehensive information to thousands of news sources in the world about what is taking place on the ground in Israel. The moment that we began our initiative constituted a turning point in the quality of coverage of Israeli affairs in the world.”
