Jerusalem, 14 June, 2016 (TPS-IL) -- Speaking at the annual Herzliya Conference at the President’s Residence in Jerusalem on Tuesday, Israeli Minister Naftali Bennett challenged the relevance of the Geneva conventions that regulate the international laws of war.
“It would be immoral to stay bound to the Geneva conventions which were written for another world, whereas the new world takes advantage of that against Israel,” said Bennett. “We have a moral obligation to protect our citizens. We have to be path breakers, and the world will follow us.”
