Deputy Defense Minister to Knesset: ‘Judea and Samaria Should be Annexed’

Jerusalem, 22 June, 2016 (TPS-IL) -- Jerusalem (TPS) – During the Knesset’s plenary session on Wednesday, Deputy Defense Minister Eli Ben-Dahan caused a commotion by announcing his adamant objection to a Palestinian state and calling to annex all of Judea and Samaria.
“After the full annexation – Palestinians who wish to become Israeli citizens will have to prove their loyalty and go through a period of naturalization, just like in the United States,” said Ben-Dahan.
Ben-Dahan’s comments aroused anger and loud opposition from Israeli Arab MKs as well as from Jewish MKs. Mickey Levy of the Yesh Atid party and Yoel Hasson of the Zionist Union interrupted Ben-Dahan and claimed his idea will “bring an end to a Jewish State.”
