Israel Foils Armed Infiltrators From Syria

Jerusalem, 29 January, 2023 (TPS) -- Israeli soldiers foiled an attempted infiltration from Syria on Sunday, the Israeli Defense Forces announced on Sunday.

The two armed men had crossed the border line and were spotted by army surveillance approaching a second fence in the Golan Heights. Soldiers shot the infiltrators, killing one. The second escaped injured.

The IDF believes the two were sent by Hezbollah.
