Stabbing Attempt in Samaria, No Casualties
Jerusalem, 19 October, 2016 (TPS-IL) -- A stabbing attack was attempted shortly before 1:00 p.m. against Israeli Border Policemen positioned at Tapuach Junction in Samaria.
No Israelis were hurt, and a female assailant was shot and killed by IDF soldiers.
The IDF Spokesperson’s Unit said that a “Palestinian attacker attempted to stab a Border Police officer at Tapuach Junction. The suspect was shot.”
Police foreign press spokesman Micky Rosenfeld said that a “female terrorist approached Border Policemen at the junction with a knife in her hand. When she did not stop and approached the officers, they responded and shot her. No injuries were reported. The area has been closed off.”
An Israeli vehicle was accidentally hit by stray bullets fired by the IDF troops, causing damage but no injuries.
