Netanyahu Recalls Israeli Ambassador to UNESCO back to Israel for Consultations

Jerusalem, 26 October, 2016 (TPS-IL) -- Referring to the UNESCO World Heritage Committee vote of this morning, denying Jewish ties to holy sites in Jerusalem, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu declared today at a conference for the Interdisciplinary Center Herzliya (IDC):
“The Theatre of the Absurd continues to enfold. I have decided to recall the ambassador of Israel to UNESCO back to Israel for consultations. We will decide what to do and what follow-up measures the organization will be facing.”
