Jerusalem, 31 October, 2016 (TPS-IL) -- Shots were fired from Syria towards an IDF force earlier today, the army has confirmed.
IDF soldiers operating near the border fence in the northern Golan Heights reported that small-arms fire was opened towards them from a close range, without causing injuries or damage.
The army is investigating whether the incident was a spillover from the civil war in Syria or an intentional targeting of the IDF troops.
