Memorial Ceremony for Israeli Athletes Murdered at the 1972 Olympics

Jerusalem, 25 September, 2024 (TPS) -- A memorial ceremony was held on the anniversary (Hebrew calendar) of the 1972 Olympic massacre in Munich, Germany, where 11 Israeli athletes were murdered by terrorists on Sept. 25, 2024. Candles were lit by the grandchildren and great-grandchildren of the murdered, and wreath-bearers included Israeli Olympic athletes who competed in the 2024 Paris games.
