Jerusalem, 2 October, 2024 (TPS) -- Israeli authorities began releasing the names of the victims of Tuesday night’s deadly terror attack in Jaffa.

Two terrorists, one armed with a rifle, the other with a knife, began attacking people at a light rail station, killing seven and injuring 16.

The victims whose names were cleared for publication were Shahar Goldman, a 30-year-old professional dancer; Revital Bronstein, a 24-year-old a computer science student; Ilia Nozadze, 42, a citizen of Georgia; and Inbar Segev-Vigder, a 33-year-old personal trainer and Pilates instructor. Segev-Vigder was killed while protecting her nine-month-old baby with her body. The baby was not harmed.

Also identified was Nadya Sokolenko, a mother of one who worked as an office manager.

Her family – husband Vadim and a 6-year-old daughter Mia – were waiting for Nadya to return home from grocery shopping on Tuesday night. But when her phone stopped answering calls, friends began checking Tel Aviv area hospitals.

They found her body at three in the morning at the National Center of Forensic Medicine in Tel Aviv.

Nadya immigrated to Israel from Moldova some twenty years ago. She and Vadim moved to Jaffa from Tel Aviv two months ago.

Friends recalled Nadya as “a very creative person and very caring mom.”

Six of those wounded are in serious condition, four were moderately wounded and two were lightly wounded.

The terrorists, ages 19 and 25, were from Hebron. Both were shot at the scene. One was killed and the other injured and hospitalized. Israeli security forces arrested several Palestinians in the Hebron area suspected of helping the terrorists.
