The Faithful Prepare for Yom Kippur – The Day of Atonement

Jerusalem, 7 October, 2024 (TPS) -- Ahead of Yom Kippur, the Jewish Day of Atonement which begins Friday night, Hassidic Jews perform the Tashlich ritual, the ceremony of symbolically tossing one’s sins into a body of running water. Here people can be seen observing the ritual on an Ashdod beach.
