Jews Around the World Began Building Sukkot After Yom Kippur Ended

Jerusalem, 13 October, 2024 (TPS) -- At the end of the Yom Kippur holiday Saturday night, the Hakkak family of Kiryat Ono – parents Maor and Danit, and their children – Amri (11) and Eli (7) – begin building the sukkah. The tradition is to build the Sukkah immediately after Yom Kippur ends for the Sukkot holiday which begins Wednesday night.
