AzerGold Creates Azerbaijan’s First Geological Exploration Information System

Jerusalem, 13 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (Azertac) – AzerGold CJSC has launched the Geological Exploration Information System, which provides real-time collection, processing, archiving and management of geological exploration data for the first time in Azerbaijan.

AzerGold told AZERTAC that the new software aims to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of geological surveys within the framework of the state-owned company’s activities in the field of digitalization of business processes and expansion of the application of innovative technologies.

The system consists of two main components – web-based software and mobile application. Web-based software is designed to perform data processing, management and reporting functions in stationary conditions. This platform provides geological data structuring, archiving, search and sorting functions in various formats, as well as map-based visualization and analysis capabilities.

The web system synchronizes the flow of information and ensures data security.

The mobile application is designed for use in field conditions, especially during geological exploration and sample collection processes. This application allows geologists to record coordinates, add photo and text information, classify samples, and perform other functions.

The mobile application has the ability to work offline, and data is automatically transferred to the main system when the internet connection is restored.

Overall, software plays an important role in ensuring compliance with both local and international reporting standards and enables a wider range of uses of geological data in the future.
