Bulgarian Children Win Top Awards at International Art Festival in Israel
Jerusalem, 20 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Pleven (BTA) – Drawings by Bulgarian children from the Pleven art school “Kolorit” have been awarded at the tenth edition of the International Festival “Bulgarian Soul of the Holy Soul”, held in Israel. This was announced by the head of the school, Maya Ananieva.
The jury awarded a total of 26 awards to children from the school. Of these, seven of the young artists were awarded the Grand Prix – Anton Nenovski, Anton Krushkov, Ivalina Atanasova, Lilia Yankova, Magdalena Tasheva, Mia Ninova and Rumen Kostashki.
“This year I chose to paint the treasures of Bulgaria,” said Ananieva. “Thus, our collection was filled with incredible works that tell about the rich cultural heritage, glorious history and greatness of Bulgaria throughout the centuries.” According to her, the drawings of the children from “Colorit” carry a message, build bridges between generations and peoples through the power of art.
The international festival is organized by the Seli Art Salon in Israel. Children and young people from dozens of countries around the world participate in it.
At the beginning of the month, graduates of the Kolorit art school from Pleven brought awards from another international creative forum – the International Children’s Fine Arts Exhibition “Lidice 2025” in the Czech Republic.
