Azerbaijani, Turkish Military Commanders Meet to Deepen Defense Cooperation

Jerusalem, 25 May, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – Deputy Minister of Defense of Azerbaijan – Commander of the Land Forces, Col.-Gen. Hikmet Mirzayev, met with a delegation led by the Commander of the 1st Army of the Turkish Land Forces, Army General Metin Tokel, who is visiting Azerbaijan.

According to the press and public relations department of the Ministry of Defense , a detailed exchange of views was held during the meeting on the current state of cooperation with Turkey in the military field and its further expansion in the future. The parties emphasized the importance of joint trainings conducted with the application of modern technological innovations to improve the knowledge and skills of the military personnel of the two countries, and discussed other issues of interest.

As part of their visit to our country, the Turkish delegation also visited the War Games Center of the Military Scientific Research Institute of the National Defense University.

At the meeting held at the center, briefings were presented and extensive discussions were held to exchange experiences.
