Pianist Nikola Bogomilov, 22, Debuts at Sofia Music Weeks Festival

Jerusalem, 3 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Sofia (BTA) – The young pianist Nikola Bogomilov will debut on stage at the Sofia Music Weeks festival today, June 3, in the Bulgaria Hall, the team announced.

The concert, which is part of the program of the “Young Musician’s Stage”, will feature works by Schubert, Schumann and Chopin. The festival is on the Sofia Municipality’s Calendar of Cultural Events in 2025.

“The talented pianist already has a solid biography behind him – winner of a number of musical awards, including special prizes from international competitions in Bulgaria, Italy, Romania, Finland, Croatia, Serbia, and the Republic of North Macedonia. He has been applauded by the audience at a number of prestigious concert events in Italy, Liechtenstein, and Vienna,” the team says.

Bogomilov has a number of prestigious concert appearances – he was a soloist of the Youth Philharmonic Orchestra – Sofia, gave a recital at the Auditorium Hall in Foligno, Italy, three concert appearances in three consecutive years at the annual concert for talented pianists in Vaduz, Liechtenstein, multiple participation in concerts at the Mozarteum – Salzburg, Austria, a recital within the “Laureates” concert cycle, the organizers indicate.

Bogomilov, who is 22 years old, is a participant in the master classes of prominent teachers such as Prof. Pavel Gililov, Prof. Katarzyna Popova-Zydron, Prof. Pavlina Dokovska, Prof. Borislava Taneva, Prof. Lyudmil Angelov, Sergey Redkin, Victoria Vasilenko and others. While still a student at the Music School in Sofia, he was accepted into one of the most prestigious universities in the world – Universität Mozarteum Salzburg, in the piano class of Prof. Pavel Gililov. Nikola Bogomilov is a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy, Liechtenstein.

The Sofia Music Weeks festival began on May 22 and will continue until June 19.
