Bulgarian Nationals Evacuated From Israel

Jerusalem, 17 June, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- (BTA) – An operation is underway to evacuate from Israel a group of Bulgarian citizens who have requested to be evacuated from the country along the route assessed as optimal in the current situation, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced.

The group was successfully evacuated from Israeli territory by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the assistance of the embassy in Tel Aviv. In view of the safety of travelers, more complete information about the operation will be provided after its completion.

Yesterday, the Ambassador at Large in the Middle East and Africa Directorate and former Ambassador of Bulgaria to Tehran, Nikolina Kuneva, said that more than 50 people have submitted requests for evacuation from Israel and the necessary lists are being drawn up.

Regarding Iran, Ambassador Kuneva pointed out that the Bulgarian community in the country is smaller than that in Israel . She explained that evacuation lists will be drawn up and an opportunity will be created for its implementation. The embassy is in contact with each of the Bulgarian citizens, she added.
