Bulgaria Reports 167 Fires Extinguished in Past 24 Hours

Jerusalem, 29 July, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Sofia (BTA) – Over the past 24 hours, Bulgaria’s General Directorate Fire Safety and Civil Protection units responded to 225 accident reports and extinguished a total of 167 fires, the directorate announced on Tuesday.

One person was injured.

Direct material damage was caused by 26 fires, 14 of which were in residential buildings, two in industrial buildings, four in auxiliary, temporary, or makeshift structures, four in vehicles, and two in forest areas.

Out of 141 fires that caused no material damage, 99 broke out in dry grass, forest litter, or bushes; two occurred in stubble fields; 35 in waste areas; and five in other locations.
