Georgia, Israel Pledge Closer Ties on Trade, Agriculture, and Food Security
Jerusalem, 16 September, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Tbilisi (AZERTAC) – Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Bochorishvili met with Israeli Minister of Agriculture and Food Security Avi Dichter.
It was reported that during the meeting, the parties emphasized the historical friendship between the Georgian and Jewish peoples, as well as the close relations between Georgia and Israel.
The ministers confirmed their readiness to deepen cooperation, especially in the fields of trade, economy, tourism and agriculture. Greater attention was paid to food security as one of the urgent challenges of the world and to promoting mutually beneficial cooperation in this direction.
During the conversation, the events taking place in the Middle East and the security environment in the South Caucasus were discussed.
The importance of ensuring peace and the existence of strong state institutions for sustainable development was noted.
The ministers also stressed the importance of diplomatic efforts to strengthen peace and stability in the world.
