Israelis Mark Two Years of War

Jerusalem, 7 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- On Oct. 7, 2025, Israelis in Kiryat Ono mark the two-year anniversary of Hamas’ attack on southern Israel. Approximately 1,200 people were killed, and 252 Israelis and foreigners were taken hostage in Hamas’s attacks on Israeli communities near the Gaza border on Oct. 7, 2023. Since that date, 1,152 soldiers fallen in the line of duty. Of the 48 remaining hostages, about 20 are believed to be alive. Photo by Eitan Elhadez-Barak/TPS-IL
