Jerusalem, 12 October, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Zangilan (AZERTAC – “This is my first trip to Karabakh. I am very excited. We arrived in Fuzuli yesterday, got acquainted with the city. Then we went to Shusha and spent the night there. I have heard a lot about Shusha. It is quite fascinating to visit this city and see it with my own eyes,” Israeli Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ronen Kraus told Azertac.

Kraus was a participant in the international conference on “Joining efforts and expanding cooperation to resolve the problem of missing persons” within the framework of the Baku Dialogue on Missing Persons.

“We are currently in the city of Zangilan. I remember that during my first meeting with President Ilham Aliyev, I said that I would visit the Karabakh region at the first opportunity. I am very happy for the opportunity to visit Karabakh. The development path that Karabakh has taken in just a few years is incredible. During our visit, we saw newly built residential infrastructure and houses, along with destroyed residential areas and village,” Kraus said.

“I believe that as a result of the continuous efforts and investments of the Azerbaijani government, the infrastructure in the region, including roads, bridges and tunnels, will increase even more, and people will be able to return to their native lands,” the ambassador added.
