Jerusalem, 18 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – With the initiative and organization of “AzerGold” CJSC, an interactive book kiosk in a modern format was installed in the Goygol district to expand reading opportunities.

The CJSC told AZERTAC that the new book kiosk installed in the Heydar Aliyev Culture and Recreation Park located in the center of Goygol city provides residents with the opportunity to easily, free of charge and freely obtain books at any time. One of the main advantages of the project is a simple and accessible registration mechanism that combines reading with digital technologies. Thus, the user registers electronically by scanning the QR code placed on the kiosk with a smartphone and then can obtain the book they want from the list that provides a wide choice.

The system has an automatic reminder function to ensure efficient management of book circulation. An SMS notification is sent to the user 15 days after the book is taken and the book is requested to be returned to the kiosk after the reading process is completed. In addition, the electronic system identifies the reader who has read the most books and the users who return the books on time, and forms their rating.

This approach ensures the continued use of books, allows more people to benefit from them, and also allows for real-time analysis of reader statistics. The CJSC will provide incentive gifts to readers who have read the most books during the quarter.

The book kiosk presents works of world classics, examples of modern Azerbaijani and world literature, and up to 400 new books printed in elegant design for children and teenagers, as well as books on business and self-development.

“AzerGold” CJSC aims to contribute to the intellectual development of communities with this project, especially to promote reading culture in the regions. It should be noted that the first example of a similar initiative was implemented last year in the remote village of Gushchu in the Dashkesan region. The “Book Kiosk” project is a continuation of a number of successful educational projects, such as “Book Gift” and “Children’s Book Friend”, which the state company has implemented in the indicated regions of production activity.
