Azerbaijan Sees Modest Drop in Oil Shipments, Bitumen Exports Soar
Jerusalem, 21 January, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – Crude oil and crude oil products from bituminous rocks exported from Azerbaijan decreased by 0.91 percent to 23.3 million tons in 2025. The value of exported oil and crude oil products decreased by 16.3 percent to $12.9 billion.
AZERTAC reports that the State Customs Committee (SCC) published information about this.
It should be noted that in 2024, Azerbaijan exported 23.59 million tons of crude oil and petroleum products with a value of $14.4 billion.
In 2025, petroleum bitumen exports increased 3.7 times to 4,360 tons. The value of the exported product was $1,137,000.
In 2024, Azerbaijan exported 1.19 million tons of petroleum bitumen worth $$220.35 million.
