Public By Pesach Benson • 1 March, 2026

Jerusalem, 1 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Israeli aircraft struck the general headquarters of Iran’s internal security forces in a major air operation over Tehran., the Israel Defense Force announced. Dozens of fighter jets carried out coordinated attacks on key regime sites, guided by Israel’s Intelligence Directorate and Anti-Terrorism Directorate.

The targeted headquarters functioned as a command and control center, linking Iran’s top leadership to forces on the ground and overseeing the suppression of domestic dissent. Another facility, the Tharallah headquarters, responsible for defending Tehran from military threats, was also destroyed.

Israeli officials said the attacks are intended to weaken the regime’s stability and disrupt its command and control capabilities. “We are striking at the core of the Iranian regime wherever it operates,” an IDF spokesperson said. The wave of operations is part of a broader campaign to expand pressure on the regime and degrade its military and security infrastructure.

The IDF said further operations are planned as it continues to target strategic Iranian sites.
