Jerusalem, 5 March, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- The Israeli Air Force carried out a new series of strikes across Iran on Thursday morning, targeting security and military infrastructure in Tehran and the nearby Alborz province, the Israel Defense Forces said.

The operation marked the twelfth wave of Israeli and U.S. strikes against Iranian targets since the campaign began on Saturday.

According to the IDF, fighter jets operating with guidance from military intelligence struck the headquarters of a special Iranian unit responsible for overseeing internal security forces in Alborz province. The facility reportedly serves as a command hub directing the regime’s special units operating in the province and coordinating elements of Iran’s armed forces.

Additional strikes were carried out in Tehran against sites linked to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and the Basij militia, a paramilitary force used by the regime for internal security and enforcement.

The IDF also said it targeted a central command center used by Iran’s armed internal security forces.

In addition to command facilities, Israeli aircraft struck dozens of other locations that the military said were used by the Iranian regime to store and manufacture various types of weapons.
