Netanyahu, Radev Discuss Bilateral Ties After Bulgarian Election Victory
Jerusalem, 10 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Sofia (BTA) – Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated Prime Minister Rumen Radev in a telephone conversation on the victory of Progressive Bulgaria in the parliamentary elections and the inauguration of the new Bulgarian government, the press service of the Council of Ministers announced.
During the conversation, topics from the agenda of bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Israel were discussed.
On May 8, the parliament elected Rumen Radev of Progressive Bulgaria as Prime Minister and his proposed cabinet was sworn in. The new regular government later took office at a ceremony in the Council of Ministers.
