Bulgaria Wins Bronze in Youth 50m Pistol Team Event at European Championships

Jerusalem, 12 May, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Osijek, Croatia (BTA) – Bulgaria won a bronze medal in the 50-meter pistol team competition among youth at the European Small Arms Shooting Championships in Osijek (Croatia).

Damyan Iliev, Kaloyan Petkov and Petar Ivanov collected a total of 1,598 points for third place in the final standings.

Ukraine was the winner with 1,619 points, and the Swedish trio finished in second place with 1,613.

In the individual 50m pistol ranking for the youth, the best Bulgarian performer was Damyan Iliev, who finished tenth with 535 points. Immediately behind him was Kaloyan Petkov with 534 points, and Petar Ivanov came in 14th with 529.

First is Toure Edwin Thomson (Sweden) with 549 points.

This is Bulgaria’s second award from the championship today, after Samuil Donkov earned bronze in the men’s 50 meter pistol.
