Azerbaijani Wrestlers Secure Podium Finishes in Croatia Beach Wrestling Event

Jerusalem, 1 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – The second stage of the Beach Wrestling World Series has ended in Poreč, Croatia.

AZERTAC reports that two wrestlers representing Azerbaijan in the 80 kilogram weight category took the podium. Sahib Dadashov won silver and Vusal Aliyev won bronze.

Islam Ilyasov (+90 kilograms) took fourth place, Ashraf Ashirov (90 kilograms) took fifth place, and Rubail Ibrahimli (70 kilograms) took ninth place.

Sadi Guliyev, a 15th-degree judge, maintained justice in the competition.
