Azerbaijani Women Open Basketball World Cup With Victory

Jerusalem, 2 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – The Azerbaijani women’s 3×3 basketball team played its first match at International Basketball Federation (FIBA) World Cup held in the Polish capital, Warsaw.

AZERTAC reports that the team faced Madagascar in the first match of the group and defeated their opponent with a score of 21-13.

The teeam’s next match in the group will be on Tuesday the Netherlands, one of the main favorites in the group and the tournament.
