One-Third of Azerbaijan’s Electricity Came From Renewables in May
Jerusalem, 8 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – In May, 33 percent of the electricity produced in the country came from renewable energy sources.
The Ministry of Energy told AZERTAC that 2.83 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity were produced in May, of which 689 million kilowatt-hours were provided by renewable energy sources.
In May, the electricity demand in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic was fully met by renewable energy sources.
