Azerbaijan Claims Chovkan World Title After Dominant Final Win in Baku

Jerusalem, 14 June, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – Azerbaijan won the World Chovkan Championship in Baku, defeating Chile 3-0 in the title game.

Chovkan is a traditional horseback team sport, similar to polo, in which riders use mallets to strike a ball and score goals against an opposing team.

Third place went to Uruguay, which beat Niger 3-2.
