Azerbaijan Para-Taekwondo Team Climbs in Global Rankings

Jerusalem, 14 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – The World Para Taekwondo Federation has announced a new ranking list of athletes.

The National Paralympic Committee told AZERTAC that several Azerbaijani para-taekwondo athletes improved their positions on the list.

Paralympic champion Imameddin Khalilov maintained his leadership in the 70 kilogram weight category with 495.75 points.

Paralympic bronze medalist Sabir Zeynalov (58 kilograms) rose to second place, increasing his rating to 381.15 points, thanks to the gold medals he won in two tournaments he participated in in June.

Amin Aliyev (63 kilograms) moved up one place with 52.91 points to take 21st place. Amin Shikhaliyev, who competed in the same weight category, took 23rd place with 39.71 points.

In the women’s rankings, Samaya Hasanova (47 kilograms) moved up two places to 20th place with 42.32 points. Orkhan Jafarov (80 kilograms) maintained his position in 24th place with 45.83 points.
