Azerbaijan Harvests More Than 2.6 Million Tons of Winter Grain

Jerusalem, 15 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – By July 15, the harvest was completed in 78.5 percent of winter grain fields across the country.

AZERTAC reports that according to the operational information of the Central Headquarters established under the Ministry of Agriculture for the grain harvest, during the season, 755,500 hectares of land were harvested, and 2,636,623 tons of crops were harvested from these areas. Currently, the average grain yield is 34.9 centners/ha, which is 1.4 centners/ha more than in the same period last year.

So far, 307,384 hectares of wheat and 448,116 hectares of barley have been harvested by mechanized workers. Of these areas, 1,175,093 tons of wheat and 1,461,528 tons of barley have been harvested. Harvesting has been completed in 67 percent of wheat fields and 89.3 percent of barley fields. The average yield is 38.2 cents/ha for wheat and 32.6 cents/ha for barley.

The harvest has already been fully completed in 13 districts – Ujar, Agdash, Barda, Bilasuvar, Jalilabad, Kurdamir, Yevlakh, Masalli, Neftchala, Sabirabad, Salyan, Kalbajar and Shusha, and the grain harvest is about to be completed in 12 districts of the Republic – Agsu, Astara, Balakan, Beylagan, Goychay, Goranboy, Naftalan, Imishli, Zardab, Saatli, Samukh, and Tartar.

It is predicted that the harvesting process across the republic will be completed in an optimal time frame.
