Baku to Welcome Young Sailors for Azerbaijan Open Championship

Jerusalem, 10 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – The Azerbaijan Open Sailing Championship in Optimist and ILCA4 classes will be held in Baku on September 12-14, jointly organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Water Sports Federation.

According to the Azerbaijan Water Sports Federation , the championship, which will include sailors from Azerbaijan and Turkey in various age categories, will take place at the federation’s sailing center, on the Shikhov beach. The competition will start at 11:00 every day. The award ceremony will take place on September 14.

Distinguished athletes will be recruited to the national team.
