Bulgaria to Send Three Gymnasts to International Down Syndrome Tournament in Norway

Jerusalem, 23 September, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Sofia (BTA) – Emilian Kostadinov, Ramonala Sikander and Radena Angelova will represent Bulgaria at an international artistic gymnastics tournament for athletes with Down syndrome in Lørenskog, Norway. The competition will be held on September 26 and 27 at the Kenhallen Hall. Forty-eight athletes from eight countries have applied to participate.

The three competitors of the Federation of Adapted Physical Activity are preparing under the guidance of coaches Dani Aleksiev, Irina Bozhinova and Ivan Tsvetkov.

Along with the competition program, meetings and seminars for judges and coaches are planned. The forum will bring together athletes and specialists from different countries and will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences in the development of gymnastics for people with Down syndrome.
