Seven Azerbaijani Boxers Qualify for Finals at U-15 European Championship

Jerusalem, 21 October, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – The U-15 European Boxing Championship continues in Trabzon, Turkey.

The Boxing Federation told AZERTAC that seven more athletes from the Azerbaijani national team qualified for the finals on the third day of the competition.

Veysila Aliyeva (54 kilograms) fought in the 1/8 finals against Mairid McGeoch (Scotland). The match ended with a 4:0 (29:27, 30:26, 29:27, 28:28, 29:27) victory for the Azerbaijani boxer. She will clarify her position with Alina Inatovich (Ukraine) in the 1/4 finals.

Huseyn Rahimli (40 kilograms) also emerged victorious from the 1/8 final match. He defeated Matija Jankovic (Croatia) with complete superiority in the first round. Rahimli will face Felix Rooney (England) in his next match. Humbat Almazov (42 kilograms) was stronger than Petar Radivojevic (Serbia) – 5:0 (30:26, 30:26, 30:26, 30:26, 30:26, 30:27). He will face Kevin Lourenco de Castro (Germany) in the 1/4 final.

Gulay Ojagova (57 kilograms) has entered the semifinals. The Imishli boxer eliminated Guilia Giustizieri (Italy) in the 1/4 finals – 4:1 (28:29, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28, 29:28). On her way to the finals, Ojagova will face Lia Toldi (Hungary).
