IDF: Operation may extend beyond Israeli territory

Jerusalem, 4 December, 2018 (TPS-IL) -- IDF Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Gadi Eisenkot toured the northern border on Tuesday afternoon in order to assess developments in Operation Northern Shield.
Earlier, an IDF spokesperson said that the activities to expose and demolish the tunnels built by Hezbollah may not necessarily be limited to only to Israeli territory, and may extend into Lebanon.
Later on Tuesday evening, Eisenkot will hold a special security assessment at the IDF headquarters in Tel Aviv.
