IDF neutralizes fifth Hezbollah attack tunnel

Jerusalem, 26 December, 2018 (TPS-IL) -- The IDF has destroyed a fifth Hezbollah tunnel crossing from Lebanon into Israel as part of Operation Northern Shield, an IDF spokesman said Wednesday. “We have just destroyed another Hezbollah attack tunnel that was dug from Lebanon into Israeli territory,” the spokesman said. “The IDF sees the Lebanese government as responsible for the digging of the tunnels and the consequences,” the spokesman added, calling the digging of the tunnels a gross violation of UN Resolution 1701 and of Israeli sovereignty.
