Amos Oz passes away at 79

Jerusalem, 30 December, 2018 (TPS-IL) -- World renowned Israeli novelist Amos Oz passed away on Friday evening at 79.  He was regarded as Israel’s foremost living author.

Oz’s works have been published in over 45 languages – more than any other Israeli writer in history – and he was the recipient of many honors and awards, including the Legion of Honor of France, the Goethe Prize, the Peace Prize of the German Book Trade, the Prince of Asturias Award in Literature, the Heinrich Heine Prize, and the Israel Prize.
