IDF ‘Hides’ Road Adjacent to Gaza

Jerusalem, 24 June, 2019 (TPS-IL) -- The IDF on Sunday commenced with engineering work to establish a “security landscape sleeve” parallel to Highway 34 adjacent the Gaza Strip, intended to protect the road by hiding it.
The establishment of the “security landscape sleeve” is part of the Gaza Division’s efforts to add defenses to the area as part of the lessons learned in wake of the recent attacks on Israel.
An Israeli was killed in May on the road by an anti-tank rocket launched at his car from Gaza.
