18th International Youth Conference Kicks Off
Jerusalem, 5 November, 2020 (TPS) -- Skopje, 5 November 2020 (MIA) – The 18th International Youth Conference “European Values for the Future of the Southeastern European Countries” kicks off Thursday and runs through Nov. 10 in the Europe House.
The conference, which will be streamed live on Facebook Page, will bring together up to 80 participants from the 16 countries from the SEE region.
Metodija Stojcheski, Coordinator of the International Youth Conference and Executive Director of the Youth Alliance, German Ambassador Anke Gisela Holstein, EU Ambassador David Geer and Friedrich Ebert Stiftung (FES) Country Director Eva Ellereit are to deliver addresses at today’s official opening of the conference.
The conference will serve as a networking platform for enhanced regional cooperation and improved exchange and dialogue between young people as well as institutional collaboration between EU and enlargement countries, different stakeholders will be involved in the implementation of all project activities.
Main topics of plenary sessions include Solidarity in crisis: Humanity beyond COVID-19; Proliferation vs creation of truth; Towards “World risk society 2.0“; Youth for sustainable development goals in the SEE region; Unemployment – what now? and Future of education: new opportunities or new dividing lines
