3rd Victim of Hebron Shooting Dies of Injuries

MDA (Magen David Adom) paramedics with the assistance of IDF (Israel Defense Forces) medical teams, pronounced the deaths of a man and a woman about 30 years old in the terrorist shooting attack Sunday morning on Route 35 east of the Tarqumiyah checkpoint, which is located to the west of Hebron.

A third victim, a man about 50 years old in critical condition, was transported by helicopter to Soroka Medical Center in Be’er Sheva.

MDA emergency medicine medic Tsuriel Adri and MDA paramedic David Dahan, who were the first to arrive at the scene, said:

“This is a very serious attack, we saw a vehicle with gunshot marks on a mound on the side of the road, three passengers were rescued from the vehicle, two men and a woman,” they said. “A man and a woman about 30 years old were unconscious with gunshot wounds to their bodies, they were without a pulse and not breathing, we fought for their lives and performed CPR and minutes later with the help of an IDF medical force we had to determine the death of a woman about 30 years old. A man about 50 years old who was also unconscious Recognizing he suffered from gunshot wounds, we gave him medical treatment and evacuated him to the helipad where an MDA helicopter was waiting that evacuated him to Soroka Hospital in critical condition while performing CPR. The third man, about 30 years old, was taken to the hospital and unfortunately he was pronounced dead there.”

MDA senior medic Mordechai Ezran and MDA paramedic Efrat Hirsch added: “A 30-year-old man was pulled out of the vehicle from unconsciousness with gunshot wounds. He was without a pulse and not breathing. We gave him medical treatment, we fought for his life and evacuated him to an airstrip near the intersection with an MDA helicopter, and unfortunately we had to pronounce him dead at the airstrip.”

Two Israelis were killed and another wounded in a drive-by shooting near Hebron on Sunday morning.

Terrorists in a vehicle fired on a car on Route 35 near the Tarqumiyah checkpoint in the Hebron area. Security forces are in pursuit.
