40 Azerbaijani Specialists Selected for Agricultural Internship in Israel

The selection round of the internship program announced by the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Azerbaijan and Israel’s Arava International Agricultural Training Center (AICAT) for young specialists working in the agricultural field has ended.

AZERTAC was told by the Department of Public Relations and Information Assurance of the Ministry of Agriculture that 40 people who successfully passed the exams based on the two-stage selection got the opportunity to practice in the Arava region of Israel.

Minister of Agriculture Majnun Mammadov met with graduates of the internship program for 2022-2023 and young specialists who have won the right to participate in the internship program.

At the meeting, information was provided about the future directions of the ministry, the priorities facing the agricultural sector, the experiences of the graduates were heard, the questions of the participants were answered, and it was recommended to study Israel’s experience in the agricultural sector in depth.

Note that the duration of the internship program is 11 months. Within the framework of the program, young specialists will undergo an internship in Israeli farms for 10 months. At the same time, the program participants will participate in academic trainings in both agricultural and economic fields for 1 month. The internship program will run from August 2023 to July 2024.
