Jerusalem, 10 August, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- (Armenpress) – The three memorandums signed between Armenia and the United States following the bilateral meeting between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and United States President Donald Trump in Washington outline the main directions of bilateral relations in the coming years.

According to “Armenpress,” this was stated by the Armenian Ambassador to the United States, Lilit Makunts.

“The three memorandums signed between Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and United States President Donald Trump are of considerable importance,” the Ambassador said.

“I would like to remind you that they relate to capacity development within the framework of the “Crossroads of Peace” project, the development of innovation in artificial intelligence and semiconductors, as well as cooperation in the field of energy security. These three memorandums outline the main directions of bilateral relations in the coming years, which we need to work on; it is very important to have this planning from a strategic perspective,” said Makunts.

She recalled that in January, Armenia and the United States signed a document on strategic partnership, which outlined a fairly large scope of cooperation. “And at that time, we already planned to discuss and understand with the newly formed US administration what the preferred areas for this stage would be, which we should work on, and, accordingly, these directions were considered quite important,” the ambassador detailed.

According to the Ambassador, such a high level of bilateral relations is extremely important not only from the perspective of the Armenia-US strategic partnership, but it will also contribute to increasing Armenia’s role and weight both in our region and among EU member states.
