Azerbaijan and Israel Ink Agreement on Research, Academic Collaboration

Jerusalem, 4 February, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Science and Education and Israel’s Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology signed a Memorandum of Understanding on scientific cooperation program.

The document was inked by Hasan Hasanli, Azerbaijan’s Deputy Minister of Science and Education, and Gila Gamliel, Israel’s Minister of Innovation, Science, and Technology.

The memorandum envisages the implementation of research projects between higher education institutions and scientific institutions, co-financing of research projects, exchange of doctoral students, scientists and teaching staff, organization of joint events and cooperation with Israel in other areas.
