Azerbaijan Clears More Than 1,700 Hectares of Land From Mines and Unexploded Ordnance

Jerusalem, 27 July, 2026 (TPS-IL) -- Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) has announced information on the mine clearance operations carried out on July 20-26 by organizations involved in mine clearance activities in the liberated territories.

ANAMA told AZERTAC that during mine clearance operations carried out last week in Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil and Zangilan, 173 anti-personnel mines, 39 anti-tank mines and 753 other unexploded ordnance were detected and neutralized, and 1,740.7 hectares of land were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance.
