Azerbaijan: Nearly 2,700 Mines and Unexploded Ordnance Neutralized in One Week

Jerusalem, 24 November, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – Azerbaijan’s Mine Action Agency (ANAMA) has announced information on the mine clearance operations carried out from November 17 to 23 by organizations involved in mine clearance activities in the liberated territories.

ANAMA told AZERTAC that during the past six months, 199 anti-personnel mines, 35 anti-tank mines and 2,464 unexploded ordnance were detected and neutralized during mine clearance operations in Tartar, Aghdara, Kalbajar, Aghdam, Khojaly, Khankendi, Khojavend, Lachin, Shusha, Fuzuli, Gubadli, Jabrayil and Zangilan.

Also, 1,527.4 hectares of land were cleared of mines and unexploded ordnance.
