Azerbaijan Produced Over 4 Million Tons of Oil in Jan.-Feb.
Jerusalem, 13 March, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – In January-February of this year, 4.5 million tons of oil, including condensate, were produced in Azerbaijan, a 6.25 percent decrease compared to the same period last year.
The Ministry of Energy told AZERTAC that 2.6 million tons of production fell to the share of Azeri-Chirag-Guneshli, 0.6 million tons (condensate) to Shah Deniz, and 0.1 million tons (condensate) to Absheron. SOCAR’s oil production (including condensate) amounted to 1.2 million tons.
Over the past two months, 3.7 million tons of oil (including condensate) were exported. Of this, 3.2 million tons were exported by consortiums, 0.4 million tons by SOCAR, and 0.1 million tons by the Absheron field.
In February of this year, daily oil production (including condensate) was 77.5 thousand tons (584 thousand barrels). Of this, 63.1 thousand tons (465 thousand barrels) were crude oil and 14.4 thousand tons (119 thousand barrels) were condensate.
During this period, oil refining amounted to 1.2 million tons, which is 9.1 percent or 0.1 million tons more than in the same period last year.
