Azerbaijan, Romania to Cooperate on Energy Regulation
Jerusalem, 3 April, 2025 (TPS-IL) -- Baku (AZERTAC) – A Memorandum of Understanding on cooperation in the field of energy regulation was signed between Azerbaijan’s Energy Regulatory Agency (EMTA) and the National Energy Regulatory Authority of Romania (ANRE) on Thursday.
According to the agency, the document was signed by Samir Akhundov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of EMTA, and Gheorghe-Sergiu Niculescu, President of ANRE.
The event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Azerbaijan, Vasile Soare, as well as employees of both regulatory bodies.
The memorandum of understanding aims to develop cooperation between the two institutions in the field of energy regulation. The memorandum includes the exchange of information and experience on electricity and renewable energy, natural gas, green hydrogen, energy infrastructure, as well as other issues.
